The port of Sóller is a small natural port that over the last few years has become a large marina. It is one of the favourite places in the north coast of Mallorca for sailers as there are plenty of restaurants and shops.
The small town of Muro does not, at first view, give the impression that it belongs to one of the richest city councils in Mallorca. In the municipality, clustered around the town of Sa Pobla are the majority of the windmills on the island. Only the area that borders the airport of Sant Joan and Llucmajor has a similar concentration.
There is a beautiful legend about the caves of Portals Vells, also called “Caves of Mother of God”. It tells that around the middle of the 15th century, a Genoese sailor had been caught by a horrible hurricane near the Bay of Palma.
